What's with wheat and ebony?

Cloé’s name comes from the Greek word khlóē, meaning “young green shoot” and which was also a nick name for the goddess of fertility and harvests Demeter. When you think of fertile soils and bountiful harvests, it is easy to visualise the green sprouts of wheat pushing through the black earth or the golden fields of wheat ripening under the French sun.
But in all fairness, Cloe’s choice for wheat probably also has something to do with her unbridled passion for this pinnacle of French culture, la baguette . As a bonus, Demba is passionate about agriculture, and thus this is one more reason to be passionate about Cloé!

Demba is simply obsessed with all things wood, be it trees, sticks (you can ask Cloé about his collection ), planks, wooden furniture, wooden art or wooden spoons. Plus, Cloé thinks he’s reliable and sturdy as a post.
Each wood has its own qualities, but given his multicultural background, he feels that ebony, with its white sapwood and black heartwood, is particularly close to his heart.
